[dms-discuss] 2 Job Openings

Hey all,

How do we feel about people posting job openings on this list? Let me know
if you find this objectionable.

The team I'm on at Caltrans <https://dot.ca.gov/> is looking for an
experienced web developer who knows all about how to build Sitecore
websites. (Sitecore <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitecore> is a
proprietary CMS hosted on Windows servers.) If you are interested, please
apply here:
https://www.calcareers.ca.gov/CalHrPublic/Jobs/JobPosting.aspx?JobControlId=241552

Keep in mind that to apply for these state positions you need to take a
state exam to qualify. The state exam is basically a resume builder with a
time limit. You don't get to take it again for 9 months, so you want to get
your answers as right as possible the first time; plan them in advance.
When applying to the position, you have to supply a 'statement of intent'
(1-2 pages of text on why you are a perfect fit) along with a resume.

The Mobile and Web Apps team (close but not the same team as mine) also
needs people who are PHP and Java developers here:
https://www.calcareers.ca.gov/CalHrPublic/Jobs/JobPosting.aspx?JobControlId=243438

The twist about these two jobs is that their descriptions were accidentally
switched by HR. Yes, I know, that is totally messed up. They'll probably
have to repost the jobs again soon for all the people out there who didn't
get this switched description explanation. (Unless y'all apply first!)

Anyway, I like the people and the work. Let me know if you have any
questions.

Thanks,

Emily
