Hey Davis Makerspace,

Here's a note update on our recent website committee meeting. At our last
meeting I showed Ryan the (attached) two mockups in order to choose a
(layout) direction to move in.

The red one is more of a simple advert splash page, while the green has
more opportunities for displaying projects and other dynamic info.

Ryan and I agreed that we were leaning more towards the green one even
though the community would be on the hook for providing new content
(projects, blog posts, photos, tweets, etc) regularly.

We then talked a little about colors, thinking that it might be nice to
focus on terracotta and other earthy colors because of the culture in Davis
is very bicycle, garden, and eco friendly. Using this color chooser

different color combinations and came up with the following combo:

We contemplated porting in some sections of the community wiki was
possible, like the hours section.

We also briefly talked about ways to display maker projects on the site.

One question that we have:

What is the wiki software we are currently using? And is there possibly an
API or other way of porting sections of our wiki to a seperate website?
