Hey all,
Read forwarded email below to see when the library is available for a
repair cafe.
Any of these dates and times work for people coming up?
My favorite times are the Sunday morning slots from 9am-1pm on December 1,
15, and 21.

Hi Emily,
I checked into this and the Blanchard room is booked during library open
hours all the Sundays in December. However, here are some possible
alternatives:
· Depending on library staff start time, which can vary on Sundays,
the Davis Makerspace could hold a workshop in the Blanchard room between
the hours of 9-1 or 10-1, before the library opens on the following dates:
December 1, 15, 22 (note the room would need to be cleaned and vacated by 1
pm on the 1 & 15, on the 22 it would need to be cleaned and vacated by 2
pm).
· The Children’s Activity Room is available between 1-3 pm on the
following Sundays: 12/1, 12/15, 12/22
· If you are open to doing the workshop on a Saturday, the
Blanchard Room is available for the following date: 12/21 (all day) and the
Children’s Activity Room is available the afternoon of 12/14 or 12/21
(12:30-5:30)
Moving into the new year, the Blanchard Room is available the following
Sundays:
January 19
February 2
March 1, 8, 15, 22
April 12, 19
May 3, 10, 17, 24
Please let me know asap what will work for you so I can get the room booked.

Thank you for your message! Regarding the dates for a repair cafe, the
November dates are coming up too soon for us unfortunately.
Does the Blanchard room have any dates available at the beginning of
December?
We'll send more information soon about the MOU and valuation of our tools
and supplies.

Just wanted to touch base real quick, haven't had any time to compose a
proper response.
Ok, lets shoot for the 21st at 7:30pm in the small room, I will spread the

Most of the library staff can meet on Monday October 21. If we do 7:30 pm,
the County Librarian can be there, he has an engagement in Woodland until 7
pm. But it 7 works best, that’s fine too.
With regards to the question about donations—the donation button on the
website is fine but if the makerspace were in the library you would not be
able to have a donation jar. The other question was about storage space,
and we probably need more information about the space needs before we can
figure out what we can accommodate. If we do decide to have a partnership,
we can develop and MOU that would cover the expectations of both parties
and what we each would be providing.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions before we meet
again.

Just touching base. It seemed like there were some questions to ask of
other members of each of our respective organizations in order to gain a
clearer understanding of what would and would not be possible w.r.t. the
library offering DMS some sort of a home. Have you had any luck on your
end getting answers about any of the stuff that came up during our meeting
on the 25th?
We had our October board meeting today (in the small conference room at the
library, thank you) which had a somewhat small turnout from our members,
but among those that were there today it was largely agreed upon that we
should have a 2nd general meeting of the Davis Makerspace during the month
of October, and that it might be very helpful if you and/or any other
library staffers who could have the time for us would attend in order to
answer some questions from DMS members that those of us who met with you on
the 25th were unable to answer. Perhaps on an upcoming Monday (likely the
21st) at 7pm?
