<div dir="auto">Yolo County Library and the Davis Makerspace are seeking friendly, helpful, reliable, and respectful community members ages 16+ to help staff the new <strong>Davis Makerspace</strong>, opening Fall 2024 at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library.<br />
Makerspace volunteers will help with the organization of tools, area, and equipment, ensure safety guidelines are followed, and provide support to makers.<br />
Desired skills include:<br />
Experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, Cricut vinyl cutters, soldering irons, and/or sewing machines<br />
Handy with tools, enjoys tinkering<br />
Skilled at design<br />
Needlecraft, papercraft, woodcraft abilities<br />
Programming knowledge<br />
Volunteers will be expected to commit to a weekly shift at the Makerspace for at least one year; complete an orientation, equipment and safety training; and fulfill Yolo County Library and Davis Makerspace volunteer requirements, including a background check for ages 18+.<br />
