<div>So at long last, we have scheduled our first workshop this
Sunday from 12 to 4pm! It is at the True Day center at the
corner of 4th and L st. Next to the bike collective. I'm
attaching the flyer below. </div>
<div>We need all the help we can get so please let us know if
you can make it. I'' arrive at 11:30 am Sunday to begin
setting up, and could use help then as well. </div>

<div>For the first workshop we will be working on the musical
instruments PVC pipe project. </div>

<div>Format:</div>
<div>For the format, I propose to bring a bunch of PVC pipe and
zipties. We can measure out ahead of time the lengths of cut
pipe to make current pitches, so participants will just need
to cut the lengths themselves to make the pitches they want
for their musical instrument. We can then use the zipties to
connect together the musical pvc pipe to other pieces of pipe
or maybe bamboo so the instruments might be sculptural or even
can act structurally as furniture too. This would be i think a
simple enough workshop, but let me know if you have other
ideas.</div>

<div>Materials: Does anyone have any of the following material
we can use for the workshop? </div>

<div>Lunch: </div>
<div>The original plan was to also do a lunch at the beginning,
which is covered by the grant. Would anybody be interested in
coming and cooking something simple. I could also just get
stuff for sandwiches. </div>

<div>Recruiting more participants: </div>
<div>We are heading back to the rotating shelter on
Friday/saturday to invite people to come. If you know of
anyone who might be interested to come, please invite them. </div>
