Hey, I confess that I like the amount of brick that we already have exposed but I'm not as excited about all of the space being brick, mainly because the brick has stains and the windows don't have glass.  I know Larry has the three fridge doors but we're not sure if they will work and there are more windows that are probably not in good condition on the other side.  If we take on too big of a renovation project this will probably delay us opening/using the space for a long while. :( As for the floor, my thought is to do the simple solution and then if we have more $ later, then take on more renovation.  I had been thinking of getting a container of white paint from a recycle center and then just white-washing the wall that James uncovered for now -- and then concentrating on the floor and windows/wall that we already have exposed.  (Maybe painting the frame a dark brown color that I picked up from the mistake shelf.) Nicholas and I turned over some of the slat-board at the end of the room and hung up the projection screen yesterday.  Hope you guys can get in there soon to watch something on it, woot! Does anyone mind if I go ahead and paint the south wall in the next few days?  This way we can still take things down if you don't like them . . . but in the mean time things will continue to get more functional looking? Anyway, my vote is for brick, matching the existing wall; it is so warm-looking and makerspace-y.  I'd be curious to hear from others.
